So langsam wird es ernst! Ab 7. August zieht die Bibliothek um.

Eine von vielen Umzugsvorbereitungen ist abgeschlossen: Ein Teil der Bücher, die aus der Zentralbibliothek ausziehen werden, ist schon jetzt im 2. und 3. Obergeschoss zusammen aufgestellt worden. Daher finden Sie viele Bücher ab sofort an anderen Stellen als gewohnt. Den genauen Standort können Sie immer über Katalog plus ermitteln.

Von diesen Büchern zieht im August ein Teil in die Emil-Figge-Bibliothek (Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften), der andere Teil in die neue Sebrath-Bibliothek am Rand des Technologieparks (Natur- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Technik).

Pro Fach ziehen jeweils die neuesten Bände um. Der übrige, weitaus größere Bestand aus allen Fächern der Zentralbibliothek – ca. 650.000 Titel – kommt später in ein Speichermagazin; weitere Informationen dazu folgen. Diese Bände können Sie ab Schließung des alten Gebäudes über Katalog plus in die Emil-Figge-Bibliothek bestellen.

Noch bis Anfang August können Sie alle Bücher aus der Zentralbibliothek wie gewohnt ausleihen und später in der Emil-Figge-Bibliothek zurückgeben.

Books rearranged on 2nd and 3rd floors

It’s getting serious! From August 7, the library is moving.

One of many preparations for the move has been completed: Some of the books that will be moving out of the Central Library are compiled on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Therefore, from now on you will find many books in different locations than you are used to. You can always find out the exact location via catalog plus.

Some of these books will move to the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek (humanities and social sciences) in August, while others will move to the new Sebrath-Bibliothek on the edge of the Technology Park (natural sciences, economics, technology).

Per subject, the newest volumes will move. The remaining, much larger holdings from all subjects of the Central Library – about 650,000 titles – will be moved to a storage magazine later; more information will follow. From the closure of the old building, you will be able to order these volumes via catalog plus and pick them up in the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek.

Until the beginning of August, you can still borrow all books from the Central Library as usual and return them later to the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek.
